The client partnered with Uber, Canada to provide cars on lease to Uber drivers in Canada. They wanted a system that could handle high volumes of driver applications and automate the entire car leasing process life cycle.

Solution

WeDigTech was tasked with understanding the current car leasing process with client and Uber (Canada) teams and conceptualizing a web-based mobile-friendly solution to automate car leasing workflow. WeDigTech conducted presentations and demos with key stakeholders of Holand Automotive Group and Uber Canada teams.

  • WeDigTech created the user experience design and developed the web app including workflows for drivers to receive program invitations, car selection, documents and details submission, application tracking, and paying EMIs.
  • WeDigTech created an automated algorithm to evaluate and approve the applications based on the credit scores.
  • We designed and developed team dashboards with customized reporting and analytics.
  • We integrated third party credit check system Equifax to fetch credit scoring details.
  • WeDigTech conducted the user acceptance testing, Quality Assurance, and Deployment on the Live Servers.

It received a great response from key stakeholders of Uber Canada with 1000+ drivers using the application in the first week of the launch itself. It saved 80% of the time and cost of both Holand Automotive and Uber teams in contrast to processing the car leasing applications manually. Holland extended their offerings with the same solution with customization to hyper location delivery players.
